Location: SR 5 Northbound and Southbound Lanes in Walker County
Planned Moving Operation for Installation of Pavement Markers and Traffic Striping on State Route 5 and Traffic Striping on I-22
JASPER – Weather permitting, beginning on Tuesday, August 20, at 8 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will install Reflective Pavement Markers and Traffic Striping on State Route 5 and Traffic Striping on I-22 as follows:
Details: • State Route 5 from the intersection with State Route 69 in Jasper at milepost 172 to the Walker/Winston County line at milepost 188.3
• I-22 eastbound from the Industrial Blvd Interchange (exit 65) to a point near the US-78 Interchange (exit 85) in Graysville area.
• I-22 eastbound from the Walker/Marion County line near milepost 39 to State Route 118 east of Carbon Hill.
• This will be a moving operation and when the work is completed in the eastbound direction of travel, the work will continue in the westbound direction.
This work is planned to be completed in approximately Six days, dependent on weather conditions and work progress. All travel lanes will remain open to traffic during this moving operation.
