I-59 Northbound and Southbound Lanes in Jefferson County
BIRMINGHAM – Weather permitting, on Thursday, March 14, beginning at
8:00 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will conduct a moving operation to repair traffic striping on I-59 as follows:
Details:
• I-59 northbound from near the US-11 Interchange (1st Avenue north) (exit 132) in Birmingham, to north of the I-459 Interchange (exit 137), in Trussville
As work is completed in the northbound direction of travel, it will continue in the southbound direction.
This work may be continued on a later date, dependent on weather conditions and work progress.
All travel lanes will be reopened to traffic no later than 5:00 a.m.
