BIRMINGHAM – Weather permitting, on Wednesday, February 6, beginning at 9 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will temporarily close the right lane of I-65 northbound exit ramp at the Walker Chapel Road Interchange (exit 267), as follows:
Details:
The right lane of I-65 northbound exit ramp at the Walker Chapel Road Interchange (exit 267), in Fultondale, will be temporarily closed to facilitate the resurfacing of Walker Chapel Road.
• The outside (right) lane of the ramp will be closed in the area of work. The ramp will remain open to traffic, but will be narrowed to allow adequate space for equipment and personnel to safely perform resurfacing work.
• Flagmen and pilot vehicles will be used to assist with traffic control during this operation.
• This work will be completed as quickly as possible, dependent on weather conditions and work progress. All travel lanes will be reopened to traffic by 11 a.m., on February 6.
