SR 25 Northbound and Southbound Lanes in Shelby County
CALERA/MONTEVALLO – Weather permitting, Monday, January 7, beginning at approximately 6 a.m. the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin the Second Phase of the resurfacing operations on a segment of State Route 25 between milepost 114.8 and milepost 116.4 in the vicinity of the Lhoist North America Company, as follows:
Details:
• The First Phase of work which included milling off the existing wearing layer and resurfacing with new asphalt pavement and placing temporary traffic striping and markings has been completed.
• The Second Phase of work beginning on January 7, 2013, will include placing an Open Graded Friction Course and placing permanent traffic striping and raised reflective pavement markers. This work will be completed in two weeks, dependent on weather conditions and work progress.
• Traffic will be alternated on the remaining open travel lane.
