SR 25 Northbound and Southbound Lanes in Shelby County
CALERA/MONTEVALLO – Weather permitting, On Saturday, December 15, beginning at approximately 6 a.m. the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing operations on a segment of State Route 25 between milepost 114.8 and milepost 116.4 in the vicinity of the Lhoist North America Company, as follows:
Details:
• The first phase of work will include milling off the existing wearing layer and resurfacing with new asphalt pavement and placing temporary traffic striping and markings. This phase of work will be completed in approximately five days, dependent on weather conditions and work progress.
• The second phase of work will include placing an Open Graded Friction Course and placing permanent traffic striping and raised reflective pavement markers.
• Traffic will be alternated on the remaining open travel lane.
