Roadwork
Location:
All State Routes in Jefferson County
On Monday, December 17, weather conditions permitting, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin repairs to the guardrail, located on the following State Routes, in Jefferson County:
Details:
• State Route 3 (U.S. 31)
• State Route 4 (U.S. 78)
• State Route 5
• State Route 7 (U.S. 11)
• State Route 25
• State Route 75
• State Route 119
• State Route 149
• State Route 150
This work will begin on State Route 3 (U.S. 31), and will take up to 3 days per route to complete. As soon as the work is completed on State Route 3 (U.S. 31), the operation will move to State Route 4 and then to State Route 5, State Route 7 etc. These repairs will require either an outside (right) lane closure or an inside (left) lane closures, in the area of the work.
It is anticipated that this work can be completed in two to three weeks, depending on work progress and weather conditions.
