I-20/59 Northbound and Southbound Lanes in Jefferson County
Weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation announces at various times the inside eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed to perform cable guiderail operations on I-20/I-59 from just east of the I-459 Interchange south of Bessemer to County Road 56 (Valley Road) in Fairfield in Jefferson County:

Sunday, November 11 at 6 p.m. until Monday, November 12 at 5 a.m., the eastbound (inside) lane and shoulders from the 18th and 19th St in Bessemer (milepost 112.0) to the Valley Rd Interchange in Bessemer (milepost 118.0), will be closed to install cable guiderail at these locations. The same procedure will be followed the following two nights.
Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, November 15 at 6 a.m., the westbound (inside) lane and shoulders from Valley Rd Interchange in Bessemer (milepost 118.0) to the 18th and 19th Street Interchange Bessemer (milepost 112.0), will be closed to install cable guiderail at these locations. The same procedure will be followed the following night.
