Weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation announces at various times the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed to perform paving operations on AL 261 from Old Town Helena to US 31 in Shelby County as follows:

Sunday, December 9 at 8 p.m. until Monday, December 10 at 6 a.m., at various times the northbound and southbound lanes of AL 261 from Old Town Helena (milepost 1.4) to US 31 (milepost 5.9) will be closed to perform paving operations at this location. The same procedure will be followed the following four nights.
